Happs Wines Launch ‘Diesel Rosé’ to Fuel a Good Cause
“Jake never called it Rosé. To him it was Diesel. Not because it was strong, but because it was fuel for good times, laughter and nights that went long.”
This September, Happs Wines, a family-owned winery in the famous Margaret River region of Western Australia, has created something truly special: the limited-edition “Diesel Rosé”, named after Jake’s playful nickname for his favourite drink. For every bottle sold, 50% of proceeds will be donated to the Callum & Jake Robinson Foundation, helping us continue the work Jake and Callum cared so deeply about.
Why We Call it ‘Diesel’
If you ever shared a glass of rosé with Jake Robinson, you’d know he never called it that. To him, it was Diesel. Not because it was strong, but because it was fuel — the kind that kept the good times rolling and the nights going long.
The story started the way most good ones do: with mates, a winery tour and a nickname that just… stuck. What began as a bit of uni banter quickly became Jake’s signature. He gave it a spin, made it his own, and from that day on, rosé was Diesel. Like all the best nicknames, it caught on fast.
This collab with Happs is more than just a bottle. It’s a tribute to our mate. To summer days that stretch into long nights. To laughing until your stomach hurts. To the pink drink that fuels unforgettable memories. And most of all, to Jake, the guy who gave rosé its new name.
How to Get Involved
Diesel Rosé is available now through Happs Wines’ cellar door and online store. To make it even easier, orders placed in September come with free shipping within Australia. It’s a beautiful way to raise a glass in memory of Jake and Callum, while also fuelling the causes that mattered most to them.
